Brunswick Blue Devils knock Lake Catholic to 1-1

On the night of a blue moon, the Brunswick Blue Devils gave the Lake Catholic football team more than they could handle.

Brunswick controlled the game for its duration on the way to a 38-10 win.

The Blue Devils' charge was led by the Yohmans. Quarterback Dan Yohman threw three touchdowns to his twin brother and slotback Keith Yohman. Both brothers also ran for a touchdown, according to The Plain Dealer.

Additionally, Brunswick did a good job of bottling up the Cougars' offense, .

Lake Catholic quarterback Mark Baniewicz, who ran for five touchdowns last week and threw for a sixth, was kept out of the end zone until the fourth quarter when he threw a 25-yard pass to Anthony Christopher.

At that point, Brunswick already led 38-3.

"Brunswick's a great football team and we didn't play well," Lake Catholic Coach Mike Bell said. "If we play like we did tonight against any of our other opponents this season, we're going to suffer the same result."

Next week, Lake Catholic travels to Youngstown Ursuline. Bell said his team is going to learn what it can from tonight's loss and move forward.
