Watch: Lake County Treasurer Candidates Debate Investing Tactics

Lorraine Fende and Bob Patterson disagree on the best way to use taxpayers' money

The Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce held a candidates luncheon for all the people running for county offices last week at the LaMalfa Centre.

Republican Bob Patterson and Democratic Ohio Rep. Lorraine Fende, both vying to become the Lake County treasurer, were among the candidates who spoke.

When asked, the candidates offered different philosophies on how to approach investing with public money.

Fende defended the tactics of current Treasurer John Crocker, who favors a lower-risk approach.
