Video: Lakeland President Talks Renewal Levy at Mentor Rotary Event

Lakeland President Morris Beverage talked about the 1.5-mill levy the community college has on the November ballot

Lakeland Community College President Morris Beverage talked about the college's renewal levy during the Mentor Rotary Candidates and Issues Luncheon Thursday at LaMalfa Centre.

Beverage noted that, as a renewal levy, it would not raise taxes. He also said the college kept all of its promises after its last levy passed in 2010.

The renewal levy raises almost $8.8 million per year for the college, according to the Lake County Auditor's Office.
