Unemployment Rates Drop Again in Mentor & Lake County

The rate has dropped in both state and county for the eighth consecutive month

The city of Mentor's unemployment rate dropped to 5.4 percent in May, according to civilian labor force estimates from the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services.

Meanwhile, in Lake County, the unemployment rate also decreased from 6.1 percent in April to 5.9 percent in May.

Fianlly, the unemployment rate in Ohio declined from 7.3 percent in April to 7.3 percent in April to 6.9 percent in May.
