See Agenda for Mentor Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting Tonight

Canterbury mega-garage is still on the board agenda, but may not be addressed

The Mentor Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 7 p.m. tonight in City Hall.

Three local businesses, including the Lake Ambulatory Care Center, have requested the board give them variances, allowing them to have signs larger than specified in the city's zoning code.

A proposed 1,935-square-foot garage on Canterbury Lane . However, it may not be addressed tonight.

Houk Landscapes requested the variance to build the garage so it could house equipment for its business. However, neighbors said the garage and subsequent traffic would interrupt a tranquil, residential street.

Mentor’s Planning Administrator Ric Spence informed the Planning Commission that the  had been rescinded at the request of Justin and Brianne Houk.
