Mentor City Council Approves New Dasher Boards for Ice Arena

The Mentor Civic Ice Arena is being spruced up in anticipation of the USA Hockey Under 18 Tier II National Championships that will be held in the city later this month

The new boards are part of a sprucing up the arena will receive in anticipation of hosting a bracket of the  later this month.

The new boards will cost $143,271, according to the approved ordinance.

The current boards have been in the arena since 1982. The city administration said it could sell them on an auction site for about $10,000.
