Mentor BZA Scheduled to Vote on Horse Today

The Board of Zoning Appeals is scheduled to make separate votes on residents who want to have a horse and build a barn on their respective properties

The Mentor Board of Zoning Appeals is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today at City Hall and it has some unusually rural items on its agenda.

Barbara Parr has requested that she be allowed to keep a horse on her Woodland Place property. Parr's property is 2.48 acres and the city code calls for 2.5 acres to house a horse.

  • Robert Drago and B R Knez Construction have requested to build a 600-foot pole barn on Bringham Court.
  • Additionally, Todd and Jennifer Hillsman have asked to build an 864-square-foot detached garage on their Headlands Road property.
  • Justin and Brianne Houk still have a request for a  on the agenda. The BZA could potentially vote on it tonight.
