Expect Lane Closures for Two Weeks on Route 2

Repairs were pushed back because of weather conditions last week

Today is the first day of a lane closure on Route 2 that is expected to last two weeks.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, crews have closed the left lane on Route 2 westbound between Route 615 and Lost Nation Road for road paving.

Drivers should expect two lanes to be open during peak times — 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., Tuesday through Friday. During other times, crews can opt to close the left two lanes, ODOT said in a statement.

The agency also said it would close the two left lanes of that stretch of Route 2 from 9 a.m. Friday to 6 a.m. on Nov. 12. At that point, one of the lanes would reopen, leaving the left lane closed for the remainder of the week.

Closures this past weekend between Route 615 and Lost Nation Road and at the Route 306 southbound ramp were supposed to begin a week ago, but storms from Hurricane Sandy pushed repairs back.
