Whenever a business stores material outside, the city code requires they have a fence at least a foot taller than the stored goods around it.

The plumbing company had requested an 8-foot vinyl fence that bordered two edges of the property and a chain link fence with vinyl slats along the back. A representative for the company said the vinyl fencing costs three times as much as the chain link fence with slats.

However, the commission was concerned the chain link fence would not look as good and asked the CSPC to put the vinyl fence along all three sides.

"Let's put the vinyl fence in," Planning Commission Member Katherine Cimperman recommended. "Let's not to do anything halfway."

The plumbing company acquiesced to the Commission's request as a stipulation of its permit.
