City Of Mentor Launches A YouTube Page

YouTube channel highlights some of the amenities available in Mentor

The City of Mentor has launched a YouTube page, highlighting some of the amenities available in the community.

Thus far, the city has posted five videos on its channel. They spotlight local nature, , Motor Mouth Food Truck and the Buckeye Trail that traverses several Ohio parks, including .

They have also posted the Mentor 2012 Year In Review video that City Manager Kenneth Filipiak showed during his .

The group behind the Mentor YouTube page is the same team that creates content for the "Around Town" segments on the city's Mentor Channel.

"For now, we plan on taking select video segments that we produce for The Mentor Channel and placing them on YouTube," Filipiak wrote in his weekly memo to City Council.

"We believe that by utilizing this extremely popular social media, we will increase our ability to communicate with more people (especially younger people,) who turn to the Internet for their news and entertainment."
