Woman Who Blocked Wendy's Drive-Thru Pleads Guilty To Driving Intoxicated

Kim Oriold was arrested after she blocked traffic at a Wendy's drive-thru for nearly 30 minutes

A woman who blocked traffic at the Mentor Wendy's drive-thru for nearly 30 minutes has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated and two counts of drug possession.

Kim Oriold, 54, of Euclid, was arrested in November when an employee at Wendy's called Mentor police because Oriold's car had blocked other drivers who were trying to exit the drive-thru.

When police arrived, they found several pills in her car, including oxycodone and tramadol.

"She was obviously impaired," Mentor Police Lt. Tim Allen said at the time of Oriold's arrest. "She had trouble keeping her eyes open."

Oriold was driving under suspension at the time.

She pleaded guilty to the trio of drug-related charges in December, according to Mentor Municipal Court records.

Acting Judge Jeff McGaffick did not sentence her when she pleaded guilty. Instead, he asked that a presentence report be compiled.

Oriold's sentencing hearing has not been scheduled yet.
