Mentor firefighters took two women to Hillcrest Hospital after their car crashed into the barrier wall on the eastbound lanes of Route 2.
The crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. near the Center Street bridge.
The crash only involved one car.
Firefighters had to cut the roof off the car to safely get the women out of the vehicle, Mentor Fire Lt. Larry Verbic said.
The women's injuries were not life threatening.
Authorities are still investigating what caused the crash.
