Two Men Accused Of Marijuana Trafficking

Mentor Police said they found about a half pound of marijuana in their car

Mentor Police arrested two men who are accused of trafficking marijuana.

An officer saw Michael Gundic, 22, of Willowick, driving over marked lanes and pulled over his car Thursday afternoon, Mentor Police Lt. Tim Allen said.

The officer smelled the scent of marijuana in Gundic's car. Police searched the car and found about a half pound of marijuana in a freezer bag, Allen said.

Police arrested Gundic and his passenger Dustin Gardner, who is 21 and lives in Painesville.

Officers confiscated the marijuana and three phones, as well as $892 that Gardner had on him, Allen said.

Both Gundic and Gardner were charged with felony counts of marijuana trafficking, marijuana possession and possession of criminal tools.

The "criminal tools" in this case refer specifically to the confiscated telephones.
