Two from Florida Injured in Rollover Crash on Route 2

The man and woman did not experience life-threatening injuries.

Mentor Police are investigating the cause of a rollover crash Thursday night on Route 2 near the Route 306 exit.

Police Sgt. Mike Klosky said the crash resulted in injuries, but none life-threatening.

According to a News-Herald report, the driver, a 59-year-old man from Florida, veered out of his lane and struck a median around 7:30 p.m., causing the car to flip and roll over twice. The passenger was a 56-year-old woman also from Florida.

Both were transported to Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.

Klosky said the investigation is ongoing and more information would be available later.
