Sex Offender Convicted Of Trying To Peer Into Children's Bedroom

Erik Wisch was caught trying to peak into a window of the Heatherstone Condos in Mentor

A registered sex offender was convicted of trying to peak into the window of two children in Mentor.

Erik Wisch, 31, of Painesville, pleaded no contest to charges of attempted voyeurism and marijuana possession and was found guilty Tuesday in Mentor Municipal Court.

Mentor detectives noticed Wisch peering into an apartment window at Heatherstone Condos on December 17.

He got into his car but police pulled him over. He was sweaty and his zipper was down, police said.

The window he was looking into belonged to two children under the age of five.

Wisch was not sentenced Tuesday. Instead, his sentence will be given after a presentence report has been compiled.

Wisch was convicted through Painesville Municipal court in 2010 for committing a sex act while peering into a child's bedroom and is a registered Tier 1 sex offender.
