Police Investigating Attempted Burglary on Bluejay Lane

Anyone with information regarding the crime is encouraged to call the Mentor Police Department

The has turned to the public, asking for any information that witnesses have about an attempted burglary Monday afternoon on Bluejay Lane.

At about 1:30 p.m., two men knocked on the front door of the victim's house. When she didn't answer, they went to the back of the house and broke a first-floor window, according to the Mentor Police Facebook page.

However, before they climbed through the window, they heard the victim's voice and ran away.

Witnesses described the suspects as white men in their late teens or early twenties with a clean cut appearance.

One of the men was tall and thin with short brown hair. He was wearing gray sweat pants and white tennis shoes.

No description was available for the other man.
