Police: Duo Caught with Heroin, Missing Car

Teenagers were arrested after they were found in a car that was reported stolen by one of the suspect's parents

Two young adults are in trouble after they were found in a car that was reported stolen, Mentor Police said.

Barbara Ottino and Christopher Marn, both 19, were driving in Mentor Saturday evening when a police officer pulled them over.

The Pontiac G5 that Ottino was driving had been reported stolen earlier that week by her father, said Mentor Police Lt. Tom Powers.

When police arrested them, they found heroin in Marn's sock, Powers said, as well as syringes, spoons and razor blades in the car.

Ottino, who lives Highland Heights, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle. Marn, of Cleveland Heights, was charged with drug abuse. Both of them face misdemeanor counts of possessing drug-abuse instruments and paraphernalia.

Ottino and Marn were arraigned today in Mentor Municipal Court. Neither of them posted the bond that Judge John Trebets set for them. Their next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
