Planning Commission To Vote On Proposed Comfort Inn Re-Imaging Today

The Comfort Inn on Route 306 may be made over as a Holiday Inn

Mentor Planning Commission can approve a re-imaging that would allow the on Reynolds Road to become a Holiday Inn.

The proposed makeover is on the agenda for the Commission's meeting at 7 p.m. today at .

“It’s a more business-friendly brand, so it will increase our occupancy during the week, especially with all the businesses coming into Mentor,” Comfort Inn Manager Jessica Gilbride said to The News-Herald. “We do a lot of weddings as it is now. It will enhance what is going on on the weekends, too, which means more money for the county and the city.”

The Planning Commission also has a pair of requests for conditional use permits on its agenda.

Ridge Valley Day Care and M R Parker  Inc. have asked to have a day care on the same property as .

Also, Dayton Freight Lines and Streams Edge Properties have requested a permit to have a truck terminal facility at .

Finally, Cardiovascular Consultants is looking to move into the former Carpet and Tile Liquidators building.
