Mentor Woman Arraigned on Felony Drug Possession Charges

Janet Barrett was also driving in the city without a license plate while under suspension

A Mentor woman was arraigned in Mentor Municipal Court Thursday for felony drug possession.

Janet Barrett, 42, was arrested on Wednesday for a combination of drug possession and misdemeanor driving charges on the same ticket. Mentor Police found her with 15 tramadol pills on her. She was arraigned in Judge John Trebets' courtroom.

Police said Barrett was also driving under suspension and without a seat belt and rear license plate.

Barrett posed her bond of 10 percent of $10,000. Her preliminary hearing will be at 8 a.m. on April 11.
