Mentor Woman Accused Of Trafficking Morphine

Brittany Kis was arraigned on the trafficking charge Monday morning in Mentor Municipal Court

A Mentor woman has been accused of selling morphine while in the vicinity of a child.

Brittany Kis, 25, was charged with a second-degree felony of drug trafficking.

The charge stems from an incident that the Lake County Narcotics Agency said occurred on Aug. 12, 2011, according to court documents.

A warrant was issued for Kis's arrest in January 2012. She was brought in and arraigned Monday morning in Mentor Municipal Court.

Judge John Trebets set her bond at $5,000, which was posted.

Her next court hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
