Mentor Schools, Lake Catholic Closed Today Because Of Snow & Ice

All Mentor Public Schools and Lake Catholic are closed today (Feb. 20) because of the snow and ice on the roads.

This is Fairfax Elementary School's sixth calamity day of the year, which means students will need to do their Blizzard Bag assignments.

The Blizzard Bag program allows the schools to post prepared assignments online during a calamity day.

If 80 percent of students complete their assignments, then the calamity day will not count against the district's total.

No other school in Mentor has used all of its allotted calamity days, so only Fairfax students need to open their Blizzard Bag.
