Mentor Police Looking For Man Who Stole From Bank

The suspect is accused of using a skimmer, which duplicates an ATM card

Mentor Police detectives are looking for a man who tried to scam the on Reynolds Road by using a skimmer.

A skimmer duplicates an ATM card and allows a person to take money that isn't theirs.

The bank's security camera captured the man as he did this and his photo has been posted here and on Mentor Police Department's Facebook page.

Anyone who can identify this man is asked to call the Mentor Detective Bureau at 440-974-5763.

Wow, never heard of that scam before. Gutsy move, considering you have to stare into a camera to make that theft.

I remember them from Terminator. Honestly, I didn't realize skimmers were an actual thing until the Mentor Police Department posted this on their Facebook page.
