Mentor Police Searching For Dollar Bank Robber

The suspect fled on foot after taking money from Dollar Bank

Mentor Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at 10:43 a.m. Tuesday at the on Mentor Avenue.

A black man in his 50s handed a note to the teller, demanding money, Mentor Police Lt. Ken Zbiegien said. The teller gave the robber money and the man fled from the bank on foot.

The robber did not show a weapon and nobody was hurt.

The suspect is described as about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a medium build, according to the Mentor Police Facebook page.

He is wearing sunglasses, a green baseball hat, green shirt and blue jeans. He was carrying a white bag.

He was last seen walking toward the Great Lakes Mall.
