Mentor Police are investigating Internet threats to Mentor High School that were posted online late last week.

According to the school district's website, administrators found out about the threat on Facebook this morning. Police brought in a juvenile who is not enrolled in Mentor for questioning about the matter this morning.

"Since the juvenile was in custody and is not a student, the district deemed it safe to operate Mentor High School today per usual," the district wrote in an update.

"Mentor Schools will not tolerate any person making statements that would make others feel unsafe or threatened, whether in jest or otherwise. Administrators are proud of the students who saw this rumor and in turn told adults they trusted so appropriate safety precautions could be taken."
