Mentor Police Ask For Public's Help In Check 'N Go Theft

Police are trying to identify the vehicle that was involved in the theft

Mentor Police continue to investigate a possible theft that occurred Monday morning outside the .

An employee for the check-cashing store said that she planned to deposit the store's money at the bank but she first stopped to throw out the trash.

She told police that when she paused by the dumpster, two men in ski masks stopped her, searched her car and stole her purse, along with the the store's deposit.

Mentor Police have posted a picture of a 4-door maroon car on their Facebook page, adding that the car was involved in the crime.

Anyone with information on the car, its owner of the theft is asked to call the Mentor Detective Bureau at 440-974-5763.
