Mentor Man Pleads Guilty To Vehicular Homicide

Randall McCauley pleaded guilty to unintentionally causing the death of a 91-year-old woman who he hit with his car

Randall McCauley of Mentor pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of vehicular homicide Thursday morning in Willoughby Municipal Court.

McCauley, 62, is scheduled to be sentenced March 13.

The incident that led to McCauley's charges happened on November 15 in Willoughby.

McCauley was driving in the Willo Plaza Shopping Center parking lot when he hit 91-year-old Bertha Adams with his van as she was walking across the lot with a walker, Willoughby Police told The News-Herald.

Adams was taken to the Lake West Medical Center where she later died.
