Mentor Man Admits To Molesting Woman After House Party

Nicholas Sutton faces up to 18 months in prison when he is sentenced Dec. 20

A Mentor man pleaded guilty to a count of gross sexual imposition Wednesday in Lake County Court.

Nicholas Sutton, 22, was accused of molesting an 18-year-old woman in the early morning hours of April 15 after a house part.

He faces up to 18 months in prison when Judge Eugene Lucci sentences him Dec. 20.

Sutton was initially charged with rape. However, that charge was dropped as part of the plea agreement, which the victim agreed to.

Before the guilty plea, Sutton's trial was scheduled to start today.
