Mentor Fire Trains for Disaster at Burke Airport

View photos from the two-day training session.

Members of the Mentor Fire Department participated in a two-day training session late last week at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland, and a Mentor resident was on-hand to snap photos from the front lines.

Bridget Basile Gandee, who has shared plenty of photos with Mentor Patch in the past, snapped the above images and many more as firefighters prepared for a myriad of disaster scenarios they might encounter. Departments from Willoughby Hills, Richmond Heights, Lakewood, Fairport Harbor and Hopkins Airport also took part.

Gandee, whose husband, Robert, is a Mentor Fire lieutenant, is a photographer for the Willoughby Hills Fire Department.
