Men who claimed he was robbed at gunpoint pleads guilty to misusing 911

Andre Otis -- from Great Lakes Mall -- pleaded guilty to misusing 911 today in .

As part of his plea bargain, his charge of falsification was dismissed.

Judge John Trebets did not punish Otis today. Instead, he asked for a presentence report to be completed first. Otis's sentencing date has not been scheduled.

Andre Otis, 26, of Cleveland, called police in November from the mall's parking lot and told them he had been robbed at gunpoint.

However, when an officer arrived at the mall to talk to him, Otis's story became inconsistent.

Ultimately, Otis admitted that he made the story up because he was cold and had no ride home, police said.
