Man Charged With Marijuana Trafficking In Mentor
Mentor police said they found more than 200 grams of marijuana in his trunk
Mentor Police charged a man with trafficking marijuana after they found more than 200 grams of it in his trunk, Mentor Police Lt. Ken Zbiegien said.
An officer spotted a Chevrolet Lumina crossing lane lines on Interstate 90 without signalling at 11:45 p.m. Monday so the policeman pulled the car over.
When the officer approached the car, he smelled marijuana, Zbiegien said.

The driver -- a 20-year-old Trent Tarleton of Cleveland -- admitting to smoking marijuana earlier that day so the officer searched him and found a large wad of bills on him, Zbiegien said.
"He stated that he did not work," Zbiegien added.

When police searched the Lumina they found a small bag of marijuana in the center console and the aforementioned cache in the trunk, Zbiegien said.
Consequently, Tarleton was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana, possessing marijuana and possessing criminal tools -- specifically a cell phone.
Tarleton is slated to be arraigned today in .
Tarleton had two passengers in the car. One of which -- Marcas Stokes of Cleveland -- had some marijuana in his sock, Zbiegien said. Consequently, he was charged with a misdemeanor count of having marijuana.
