Man Arrested Twice in a Week, Accused of Restraining Mentor Woman in Her Home
Robert Ester's charges include felony burglary, reckless operation and fleeing the scene of a crash
For the second time in one week, a Willoughby man was arrested in Mentor after fleeing the scene of crash.
According to the Mentor Police Facebook page, Robert Ester Jr. was arrested for felony burglary, misdemeanor unlawful restraint and misdemeanor obstruction of official business Thursday after fleeing a crash on Tall Oaks Drive. A passenger in one of the vehicles, Ester ran into a home on Seneca Trail after the crash.
According to police, a resident of the home then came back, but Ester would not let her leave. Ester ran away from officers who responded to the home, but soon gave up.

He will be arraigned at 8 a.m. Friday at Mentor Municipal Court.
Police also arrested Ester on May 3 after he fled the scene of a pair of crashes at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Jackson Street. Ester was charged with reckless operation, leaving the scene of a crash, assured clear distance ahead and not having a driver's license that day. He appeared in court on Tuesday.
