Parolee Accused of Trafficking Heroin In Mentor

A man who is on pareole was arraigned on felony charges of heroin trafficking, drug abuse and possession of criminal tools Friday in .

Darnell Alexander Jr. 23, of Brooklyn, OH, was arrested by Mentor Police Thursday evening after a traffic stop on Route 306, according to the Mentor Police Facebook page.

When police searched his car, they found two bags of marijuana, several doses of heroin, three cell phones and a stun gun disguised as a cell phone, police said.

Furthermore, Alexander is on parole so police contacted his parole officer.

Judge John Trebets set Alexander's bond at $35,000, which was posted.
