Man Accused Of Stealing More Than $8,000 Worth Of Jewelry From Jo-Ann Fabrics

Mentor Police have arrested a man who is suspected of stealing more than $8,000 worth of jewelry from .
Robert Pride, 37, of Lakewood, was arraigned on a charge of theft Thursday morning in Mentor Municipal Court.
Pride repeatedly visited Jo-Ann to steal sterling silver and other baubles from the craft shop between September 23 and October 23, 2011, Mentor Police Lt. Tom Powers said.

He is also suspected of stealing from craft shops in Rocky River and Bath Township, Powers added.
Pride was first arrested last year while stealing in Rocky River. He has since pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of theft.

Bath Township Police thought Pride fit the description of a suspect who had been shoplifting from its so officers talked to Pride and he admitted to thefts both there and in Mentor, Powers said.
Judge John Trebets set Pride's bond at $20,000 Thursday, which was not posted.
Pride's next court hearing is scheduled for June 21.
