Man Accused of OVI, Child Endangerment Now Faces More Drug Charges

The man was back in on Monday, facing new drug charges.

Rostislav Ryazansky faces new charges of drug abuse, permitting drug abuse and wrongful entrustment. These are added to the charges of child endangerment and operating a vehicle while intoxicated that he already faced.

Judge John Trebets set Ryazansky's bond at $5,000, which was not posted.

Ryazansky was originally arrested Oct. 30. Another driver saw Ryazanskiy driving erratically that evening on Route 2, Mentor Police Lt. Tom Powers said. The driver called police and followed him to where Ryazanskiy, his girlfriend and 4-month-old child got out of the car and went into the hotel.

Police went inside and talked to 24-year-old Ryazanskiy. The man told police that he had used heroin earlier today, Powers said.

Consequently, police arrested Ryazanskiy, though he was later released on bond.

The next day, police arrested Ryazanskiy's girlfriend .

She too faces charges of drug abuse, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and child endangerment.

The drug that both Ryazanskiy and Korb are accused of abusing is heroin.

Their child is in the custody of Lake County Jobs and Family Services.

Ryazanskiy's next court date is scheduled for Nov. 28.
