A man from Olmsted Falls is accused of punching a woman in the face and otherwise crashing a party early Sunday morning on Trillium Court in Mentor.

Shawn Parsson, 32, had originally been at another house party down the street from where the fracas occurred, Mentor Police Lt. Tom Powers said.

However, after police warned people at Parsson's party to calm down, Parsson and a few other people went to the other party.

Parsson started to argue with people at the second party. Powers said he didn't know what precipitated the argument.

The argument escalated and got physical when Parsson started swinging at party guests, Powers said. According to the police, Parsson punched one woman in the face and hit other guests, as well.
