Mentor Police Lt. Tim Allen said Gladding's charges stem from three bad checks that he passed in Mentor totaling $1,098. Allen added that Gladding corresponded with the department via Facebook after the first listing, prompting police to remove his image. However, he has not shown up to court since his plea.
