Police Ticketing a Dumpster Just a Rumor
Have you heard anything about the Kent Police Department issuing a ticket to a dumpster?Sounds bizarre, but rumors have been circulating. To put them to rest, the Kent Police Department sent this message out to the community on Facebook.
"... This silly rumor is indeed just that, silly and untrue," a portion of the message read.
While some Facebook fans thanked the department for the post, some scoffed that it was even worth talking about:
- " I like the fact that you put an end to the rumor. Getting the truth out is a good thing. Thanks."
- "This is really the most important thing at your agency? That's truly sad."
- "That's a bunch of 'garbage!'"
- "Chief ... don't be down in the 'dumps.'"
Locked Out Drug Dealer Leads Cops to Stash
Some people really make things easy for police officers. A man locked out of his car on June 21 called police for some help. When an officer showed up to the 30000 block of Bainbridge Road and opened the car, he was hit with the smell of raw marijuana, finding 37 individually-wrapped bags of marijuana weighing 28.7 grams, according to police.
Police believed that because the substance was wrapped, Lawson was preparing to sell it. The officer found $426 in cash in the car also.
King Lawson, 34, of Richmond Heights, (photo attached) was charged with drug trafficking, a fourth-degree felony.
