Jessica Hobbs stole more than $3,000 from Villa Pizza in the span of four days, according to Mentor Police

The woman who was general manager of the Villa Pizza in Mentor is accused of stealing $3,313.72 from the business.

For four consecutive days -- from August 25 through 29 -- Jessica Hobbs pocketed the restaurant's money instead of depositing it each evening, Mentor Police Lt. Tim Allen said.

At first, Hobbs told her boss that she did deposit the money, Allen said. When she was asked for a bank receipt, she claimed another employee had deposited the money on those nights, according to police.
