FBI: Criminal Pursuit Episode on Riley Ann Sawyers Premieres Tonight
The episode, which focuses on the murder of the Mentor girl better known as Baby Grace, will premiere at 10 p.m.
FBI: Criminal Pursuit will air an episode on the murder investigation of Riley Ann Sawyers, better known as Baby Grace, 10 p.m. Friday on Investigation Discovery.
A fisherman found 2-year-old Riley's beaten body in a plastic box on a small island in Galveston Bay in 2007. Authorities called her by a nickname because they did not know her real name.
Nobody knew who Baby Grace was until her father, Michael Sawyers, and grandmother, Sheryl Sawyers, both of Mentor, recognized Riley in an artist's sketch.

DNA tests later confirmed what the Sawyers had suspected.
Kimberly Dawn Trenor, 22, and her husband, Royce Clyde Zeigler II, 26, were convicted of Riley's murder. The prosecution successfully argued that Trenor and Ziegler beat Riley to death during a daylong disciplinary session.

Riley died from three skull fractures, the coroner said.
The FBI episode includes new interviews with Michael and Sheryl Sawyers, as well as law enforcement. The episode will re-air Saturday at 1 a.m. and 1 p.m.
