Authorities Find Raymond Gabor Jr. In Mentor Lagoons

Authorities found Raymond Gabor Jr. at about 9 p.m. Tuesday in the .

Members of the Lagoons' Courtesy Patrol saw a man who matched Gabor's description running through the woods so the called police, Mentor Police Lt. Dan Molnar said.

Gabor, 45, of Mentor had been missing since Monday afternoon when he abruptly left work.

Gabor’s truck was located at the trail area of the Mentor Lagoons and he was seen at about 7:45 p.m. Monday in the area of Mentor Lagoons beach.

while they searched for Gabor. Mentor Police were concerned that he might be a danger to himself because a handgun and prescription pills were missing from his house.

When police found Gabor, he did not have a gun on him.

The U.S. Coast Guard, Mentor Fire Department's Dive Team and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources all helped search for Gabor.

Molnar said that Gabor had some cuts, scratches and bug bites but he was otherwise fine physically.

Police interviewed him and he did not say why he left work or hid in the Lagoons. Afterward, he was taken to Lake West Medical Center for evaluation.

Gabor has not been charged with any crime as of yet, Molnar said.
