We have two columnists on the site -- Sandra Ward who writes and Devone Lansing who writes .

And one of my favorite things about this job is reading their columns. I am, first and foremost, fans of their writing.

Each week, I look forward to their stories and anecdotes.

Ward not only understands animals, she understands how they make our lives more fulfilling.
