Each week the Mentor Patch Moms Council answers a question on parenthood posed to them by readers or another member of council.
This week's question: What person (or people) had the biggest influence on your parenting style and what did you learn from them?
My parents did.
They had a wonderful marriage. They raised my brother and me with a soft, loving hand, but we knew that when we were asked to do something, we did it.
They were always respectful to us and we to them.
I had a wonderful childhood and I tried to bring that to my four children.
Now I am trying to do that for my grandchildren.
