Are you buying the extra insurance?

I'm interested to know what my fellow neighbors & consumers are doing about the additional insurance that's being pushed by the utility companies.  Are you buying it?  Is it necessary?  Please speak out.  I've been thinking it might be a necessity.  I do remember when the utility companies were responsible for repairs.  It's not that way anymore, huh?
