Michael A. Cipo, Retired Cleveland Homicide Detective

Burial services were private

Michael A. Cipo, 65, a retired Cleveland homicide detective, died July 9, reports McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home.

Cipo was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a member of the St. Vianney Church, and former member of the Holy Cross in Euclid. He loved riding motorcycles and even taught lessons. 

He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Katherine R. (nee Sovizral) Cipo; loving father of Michael J. (Zulaida) Cipo of Titusville, Fla., Steven J. Cipo of Mentor and Joseph A. Cipo of Concord Township; cherished grandfather of Anthony and Adriana; and brother of Herb (Mary Ann) Wilson of Solon and Elizabeth Cipo Williams of Lyndhurst. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; and was a friend to all. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary (nee Medves) Cipo; and brother, Andy Cipo.

Viewing services were Thursday, July 11 at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home. Burial services were private.
