On February 22nd and 23rd, Mentor High School played host to 224 wrestlers from 44 different schools for the OHSAA District Wrestling Tournament dubbed the "Mentor Meat Grinder". While Mentor had 11 wrestlers competing, only one, Colin Kramer (113 lbs.) was able to wrestle his way to qualify for the State Tournament being held in Columbus February 28 - March 2nd.
Colin is a senior and team co-captain of Mentor's wrestling team. Colin's wrestling career begin at Memorial Middle School in the 7th grade. Since then he has been a two time Sectional Champion and a two time state qualifier. He was also an alternate at the State Tournament during his sophomore year.
After graduation from Mentor High School this June, Colin is considering a career in Law Enforcement. Currently, Colin is weighing his options at Lake Erie College, University of Mt. Union and Lakeland Community College.
He is currently employed at the Mentor Harbor Yacht Club. His hobbies include fishing and boating.
