Cleveland Sports Teams and the Jersey Graveyard

We all know that we are crazy to be Cleveland sports fans. How many times have we told ourselves "there's always next year...."?

But what about all those shirts and jerseys we have? A quick look through my kids' closet reveals jerseys for:

Quinn
Z
Haffner
James
Remember them? And if you bought jerseys, they weren't inexpensive!

Well, instead of burning those jerseys (except for LeBron's, maybe), turn them into something fun and functional!

My daughter turned her Quinn jersey into a tote bag, which you can see in the photos.

Even if you have basic sewing skills, you can turn your old sports jerseys, T Shirts and even high school letter jackets into bags, pillows and seat cushions using tutorials I have made.  (Find the tutorials here.) You will be ready for tailgate season in historical style!

The Cleveland Indians pillow shown in the photos belonged to my friend's mother who passed away a number of years ago. My friend's brother recently died and she thought the shirt, turned into a pillow, would be a nice memory for her nephew. Yes, that's Thome on the back side!

So all is not lost, Cleveland. Get those old jerseys out of the closet and turn them into something fun.
