Cleveland Sight Center's Annual White Cane Walk

The Cleveland Sight Center is hosting its 7th Annual White Cane Walk from 10:00am-1:00pm on Saturday, June 9th at Legacy Village in Lyndhurst, an annual fundraising event help provide services and programs for people of all ages who are blind or visually impaired, and to help increase awareness of the White Cane Law in Ohio. Participants use a white cane while walking blindfolded around Legacy Village in Lyndhurst with the assistance of a sighted guide partner. This is an opportunity to be part of a one-of-a-kind event that is both educational and fun for all ages, and kids will be excited to know that Radio Disney will be joining us during  the event! Trapper Jack from The New 102.1 FM WDOK will be the Master of Ceremonies sharing his own experience with vision loss. In addition to the walk there will be demonstrations, hands-on activities and information about vision rehabilitation and services that enable people who are blind or have low vision to live more safely and independently. The entry fee is $20. To register online as a walker or create a fundraising team, please visit http://whitecanewalk.kintera.org, or contact Donna Farr at 216-791-8118 for additional information.
