Community Corner

MENTOR CITYfest presented by Lake Health

Mentor's newest and largest community event, MENTOR CITYfest, presented by Lake Health will be held August 23 & 24 on the grounds of Civic Center Park, Friday 4 to 11pm and Saturday, 12 to 11pm. It's Two Days - One Big Event!

Enjoy incredible live music throughout the weekend. The band Angry Young Men will start Saturday night with classic alt rock from the 80's thru the 2000's from 4pm to 6pm at the Civic Center Amphitheater.  Our headline act, the Chicago based, nationally acclaimed Beatles tribute band, Brit Beat, will pack Mentor High School's Jerome T. Osborne Stadium for a stunning visual and musical concert, ending in an amazing fireworks show! We'll end the festival back at Civic Center Park with the rockin' pop country sounds of Monica Robbins and the Ninja Cowboys from 9 to 11pm at the Civic Center Amphitheater.

Enjoy your favorite adult beverages at our new Beer & Wine garden located near the Main Street and Community Corner tents. For wine lovers we've created a wine tasting event on Saturday from 2 to 5pm with no pre-registration necessary.

And the festival food, have we got you covered! We have traditional foods like sausage sandwiches, funnel cakes, lemonade, and kettle corn, plus new twists like spiral spuds, fresh juices and more!

Other events taking place at MENTOR CITYfest are the Cincinnati Circus Company with their flying trapeze show, acrobats, stilt walkers, flame throwers and more!  Enjoy a free performance Saturday at 1pm and at 7pm.
At other times throughout the festival, guests can try their own skills at the giant trapeze for only $5. Purchase tickets at the festival.

Giant inflatables for kids of all ages will fill the grounds of Civic Center Park. Buy a single day wristband for $5 or a two day wristband for $8. Ride a trackless train along paved paths, grab your friends for a game of indoor laser tag, stop by the arcade tent, or try out more than a dozen reasonably priced, community run games. Aquatic games will take place at Civic Center Waterpark and open skates and ice skating exhibitions are scheduled throughout the weekend at the Mentor Ice Arena.

Enjoy watching the competition of the Skyhoundz Canine Frisbee Competition World Qualifier at the Civic Center ball fields from 9am to 3pm on Saturday. Visit our Touch a Truck display with a dozen huge vehicles on Saturday from 12 to 2pm then stop by the Amphitheater to see who wins our Mentor Family Feud from 2 to 3:30pm.

There is much much more to see and do at the MENTOR CITYfest.  Please see our webpage for more information. http://cityofmentor.com/play/cityfest/
