Attention High School Youth Bowlers!
Game of Mentor's High School Bowling league begins tomorrow, Saturday, September 7th at 11:00 am. Prepare for your High School Varsity and Junior Varsity tryouts by being part of this new league designed to get you ready to represent your school.
The league is a singles scratch league. Each bowler bowls 4 games each Saturday. 2 games versus one opponent and then 2 more against another.
The girls and boys division winner at the end of the league will each earn scholarship money to go towards their college education. (administered through USBC Smart Program)
The league is only 10 weeks and ends on November 9th so it won't interfere with your High School eligibility. Coach Mike Phillips from Mentor High School will be around to help the youth bowlers as they prepare for tryouts.
Bowlers will also receive a free USBC Scholastic Membership (with an optional upgrade to Junior Gold) so they can participate in tournaments before and after the High School season.
No need to sign up early - just stop in by 10:00 Saturday so we can add your name to the system. Cost is $12 per week (includes bowling, shoes and USBC Membership). A league ending pizza party and scholarships for winners of boys and girls division is also included in the weekly price.
