Y Minority Acheivers Celebrate with MLK JR Day Breakfast

The Lake County Central Y will be hosting a breakfast to
celebrate the life and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 8 a.m.-Noon at the Central Y, 933 Mentor Ave in Painesville. All proceeds of the breakfast will benefit the Y Minority Achievers.

Everyone in the Lake County community is invited to participate in activities and entertainment provided by the Minority Achievers. The MLK Jr. Day breakfast helps raise awareness of what one man can achieve when he inspires a nation to work together. Every day the Y works sideby-
side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income and background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

The Y Minority Achievers program encourages all youth to pursue higher education and career goals by offering them a jumpstart on their future through leadership, college fairs/tours, tutoring, life skills seminars, job shadowing, and community service. Currently students from Perry, Riverside, Lake Catholic, and Thomas Harvey High School are involved in the program.
